Moshe Phillip

Education is the key to empowerment and control for individuals with diabetes.
Prof. Moshe Phillip graduated (MD) from Ben Gurion University, Beer Sheba, Israel, in 1983 and specialized in Pediatrics at Soroka Medical Center, Beer Sheba and in pediatric endocrinology in 1989-1992 at the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore, USA. Between 1992-1997 he served as division head in Pediatric Diagnostic and Therapeutic Center at Soroka Medical Center in Beer-Sheba.
Since 1997 he is the director of the Institute for Endocrinology and Diabetes, National Center for Childhood Diabetes at Schneider Children’s Medical Center, Petah Tikva. From 2006 until August 2022, he served as Vice Dean for Research and Development at the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences (formerly Sackler Faculty of Medicine) at Tel-Aviv University. He also serves as Chair of the Irene and Nicholas Marsh Fund for Endocrinology and Diabetes at this faculty.
Prof. Phillip is heading the Diabetes Technologies Center at the Institute. He is active in both clinical and basic research focusing on Childhood diabetes and growth.
Prof. Phillip is an active member of national and international organizations such as the Israeli National Committee for Diabetes, International Society of Pediatric and Adolescent Diabetes (ISPAD), The European Society for Pediatric Endocrinology (ESPE), Pediatric Endocrine Society (PES), Endocrine Society, American Diabetes Association (ADA) and more.
Prof. Phillip is co-chairman of the International Conference for Advanced Technologies and Treatments of Diabetes (ATTD) and the International Conference on Nutrition and Growth (NGC). Prof. Phillip has published more than 400 manuscripts, books (including the ATTD Yearbook) as well as chapters in books.
