Emanuele Bosi
Professor of Internal Medicine, Head of Diabetes, San Raffaele Vita Salute University Hospital, Milan, Italy
The psychological impact of screening and awareness of possible future type 1 diabetes on families is an emerging topic and unmet need in the research of the field.
Emanuele Bosi is a physician scientist, Professor of Internal Medicine at the San Raffaele Vita Salute University, currently Head of the Private Medicine Department and of the Diabetes and Hepatology Units at the San Raffaele Hospital, Milan.
Emanuele Bosi graduated in Medicine from the University of Milan, Italy, where he also received a specialty diploma in diabetes and metabolic diseases and in clinical immunology. Trained at the Medical Clinic of San Raffaele, he worked as a clinical research fellow at Edouard Herriot Hospital in Lyon, France. He also worked as clinical investigator at different hospitals in the UK.
After returning to San Raffaele in Milan, he became Associate Professor of Internal Medicine, then of Endocrinology, and later Full Professor, first of Endocrinology and then of Internal Medicine at the Vita Salute San Raffaele University.
He became Head of the General Medicine, Diabetes and Endocrinology unit, and then of the Private Medicine, Diabetes and Hepatology unit. In 2007, he founded and later directed the Diabetes Research Institute.
Prof. Bosi has coordinated several clinical research groups, is a member of several scientific societies, and has been on the editorial boards of several journals.
