Kimber Simmons

Dr. Kimber Simmons is a pediatric endocrinologist and Associate Professor at the Barbara Davis Center for Diabetes, University of Colorado. She is a leading expert in the early detection, monitoring, and treatment of type 1 diabetes, and directs the Center’s Early Type 1 Diabetes Clinic and Clinical Immunotherapy Program, a regional referral center for individuals in the early stages of disease. Dr. Simmons also leads Ask the Experts, a resource supporting families and healthcare providers in the United States following positive T1D screening results. As principal investigator for multiple clinical trials and a longtime contributor to research in immunotherapy, she is committed to advancing a future in which type 1 diabetes can be delayed, prevented, and ultimately cured.
