BR1DGE connects stakeholder across all relevant disciplines, strengthening their skills to deliver consistent, high-quality care for individuals with T1D.
Astrid Czock is a Swiss, German and Austrian pharmacist with a Master and a PhD from the University of Vienna, Austria. She obtained the pharmacy licensure In Düsseldorf, Germany and holds a Federal postgraduate title in community pharmacy from Switzerland. She has a MSc in infectious Diseases from the LSHTM, and further studies in epidemiology and biostatistics, in health promotion and disease prevention from the universities Zürich, Bern and Basel.
After doing R&D cancer research for 2 years at the University of the Pacific (UOP), Stockton, CA and USA, she moved to Switzerland. She worked as a community pharmacist, Department Head for Science, Education and Quality of the Swiss Pharmacists’ Association, and CEO for QualiCCare, a Swiss interprofessional non-profit organisation, aiming to increase the quality of care for patients with NCDs in primary care.
She is a scientific collaborator for the Swiss Society of Endocrinology and Diabetology, and is mandated by the Swiss homecare nurses’ associations to perform the quality control of courses for family caregivers.
She is an officer to the International Pharmaceutical Federation, FIP, and was awarded the FIP fellowship for her achievements. She is also a Fellow of the Swiss Academy of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
