Summary
Glycemic variability is the measurement of fluctuations of glucose or related parameters over a given interval. There are several metrics that help assess glycemic variability in diabetes. Many people struggle with glycemic variability and face severe consequences, including increased mortality rates. The recommended targets for glycemic variability are ≤36% (%CV) and >70% time in range (70–180 mg/dL), but targets should be tailored to each person’s needs. Reducing glycemic variability is key in effective diabetes management. The AGP is a monitoring software application that can help to demonstrate glucose control across each day and between different days.
